We hand-restore old consoles and upgrade them with modern tech
The GBA SP is slightly more than half the size of the GBA when closed and roughly the height of Nintendo's Game Boy Color when open. This model of the Game Boy can play all Game Boy cartridges including Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance carts. The clamshell (or laptop design) protects the screen from scratches and dust, reminiscent of two-screen Game & Watch units. However, the casing is made from a different material, making it more prone to scratches than previous Game Boy systems.
This brand new IPS kit comes with a brand new IPS screen of the exact same original resolution as the Game Boy Advance SP screen.
The kit comes with a drop in screen, and requires no soldering. Only simple cuts to some pins and shell are needed and then the screen sits in place. Skill level 1!

The perfect upgrade for your original Game Boy Advance SP. Super bright, ultra sharp and adjustable backlight brightness (with optional soldered brightness wire)
So many things these days are mass produced, not designed to last, and make as cheap as possible for as much money as possible. We started RetroSix not as a mass market business. We are aiming at the small, limited quantity, but hand-build and restored market.
All work, restoration, modifications, improvements and so on are done in the UK, in-house by hand and all attention to detail and care is taken for every order. You can be assured that your order has been inspected not only by a real person but someone who knows about and is excited by gaming and retro, and no sub-par product leaves our doors.
In 2020 we partnered with Hand Held Legend in the USA. I believe partnering with other likeminded companies is a great way to help each other out and ultimately make products that are better for the end consumer. Check them out at https://handheldlegend.com
RetroSix is a small team of people who have been in the gaming industry and retail business since 2013, and sold consoles, controllers and even designed our own controllers and consoles.
Putting that expertise to good use, we decided to start RetroSix; a small team of people passionate about retro gaming, and restoring original consoles to like-new, adding our own twist and style to them and in general bringing a modern twist to retro.
Experience the nostalgia without the limitations of old and outdated hardware.
