We got you covered 😁
Got an Atari Lynx you want to have modded or serviced? Then this service is for you.
The service includes basic cleanup and tidy, then any mods you want to have added you can select.
If your system does not work, we offer a diagnostics service (make sure to select it if your console does not work) where we can diagnose the fault and offer you the cost after investigation that it will take to repair.
For sending your item to us, make sure to follow these steps Posting Repair Items (Send In Service) - RetroSix Wiki.
If your system is not fully functional, make sure to check the Diagnostics option. This will allow us to investigate the problem and provide a cost to fix it (sometimes we can fix it as part of the diagnostics cost).
If extra work or parts are required, we will contact you with the costs before proceeding.
Make sure to read our Terms & Conditions to ensure you understand the repair process. If we already have the upgrades or modifications, you like listed simply select those options. If you would like additional work carried out that is not listed, feel free to just contact us and we can give you a price.
The power circuit on the Atari Lynx is an unusual common positive (not common ground) setup. This leads to confusion with diagnostics and testing for many people, as well as a fairly dangerous "regulation" circuit that uses a basic logic IC and capacitors, transistors and diodes to form a very crude power circuit.
This very often (now the console is older) leads to killing the Suzy, Hayato/Mikey and/or RAM when overloaded (with mods for example, or just age) and over-volting the system.
We offer two solutions; the first is a power repair kit, which we specifically tuned and crafted to replace the aged components on the power circuit with new, to get you back to a good 5V regulation.
The second is a much more powerful and future-proof option - the CleanPower. This replaces the entire power circuit of the Lynx, replacing it for a stable regulated common-ground configuration. Along with this the CleanPower can replace the non-standard DC jack with a USB-C port too (with a tiny shell trim to widen the DC hole). This way you can power your console from USB-C or AA batteries.
In future the CleanPower will also support the CleanJuice (to replace the AA batteries with rechargeable AAs allowing the USB-C port to then charge the batteries.
We send the item back by the delivery method you specified during checkout.

Retro Enthusiast
RetroSix is a family run business led by Luke, who has been in the gaming industry and retail business since 2013, and sold consoles, controllers and even designed our own controllers and consoles.
We repair and upgrade consoles while showing them off on our social channels such as TikTok.
We sell products for restoring your own consoles should you wish to do it yourself, including many of our own hardware we design and manufacture in-house.
Finally, we print directly onto products to create unique one-off designs of things like Game Boys, Game Gears and anything that has a relatively flat surface we can print on. Checkout our Printed Products sections to buy some or design your very own.
We started RetroSix not as a mass market business, instead with the aim of perfection. Recreating moulds of original shells, casting them from quality ABS, redesigning hardware such as power supplies, USB-C, audio and more, to upgrade your consoles to the highest quality available. No cheap junk sold for profit.

We believe partnering with other likeminded companies is a great way to help each other out and ultimately make products that are better for the end consumer.
Of course, we sell and ship worldwide direct from source if you would like to purchase direct from anywhere in the world.
