The Atari 2600 is a home video game console developed and produced by Atari, Inc.

What Am I Getting?

Firstly we take one of our Atari 2600 consoles from stock, based on the version you chose. The case gets a full strip down and clean.

All internal electronics are cleaned, fixed up, re-soldering all switches, replacing the interboard ribbons, and repairing/replacing any aging components. New foam pads are installed under the switches as they turn to powder of the years.

Next the mods start. We start by adding a dual-power LED mod so you know when your console is on and also when your power supply is working. After that a CleanComp composite/S-Video mod is installed to upgrade the console from RF to Composite and S-Video.

Finally it is all screwed back together using our stainless steel screw kit, and tested on CRT, PVM, modern LCD and old TFT monitors with many games to make sure it is running perfectly.

The console comes with a power supply (original or new depending on stock), 2 brand new controllers with much better feel and function, and the composite/S-video lead.

Then it is all boxed up, bubble wrapped and shipped off to it's new home.

Power Dual LED Upgrade

The one thing missing from the 2600 was the ability to tell when the console was powered on, or if your wall plug was working. With the Power Dual LED upgrade, you will get a red LED if your power brick is working and the console is receiving power, and a green power LED when the console is turned on. The glow is subtle and not distracting to gameplay even in the dark

CleanComp Mod

The CleanComp is a composite video mod for your Atari 2600. Unlike other composite mods that simply clean-up and re-amplify the already dirty signal, the CleanComp completely reconstructs and makes a new composite video signal directly from the TIA chips digital logic. Matching the composite video IRE specifications perfectly to within 10mV perfectly you will get the best possibly composite signal you can get.
