We got you covered 😁
The A1200 was launched a few months after the Amiga 600, using a similar slimline design that replaced the earlier Amiga 500 Plus and Amiga 500. Whereas the A600 used the 16-bit Motorola 68000 of earlier Amigas, the A1200 was built around the 32-bit Motorola 68EC020. Physically, the A1200 is an all-in-one design incorporating the CPU, keyboard, and disk drives (including the option of an internal 2.5" hard disk drive) in one physical unit. The A1200's hardware architecture was later used as the basis for Commodore's Amiga CD32 game console in 1993.
We first take a stock Amiga 1200 and give it a full service inside and out, fix any issues and restore the console to fully working order.
If you want the hard drive and BIOS upgrading (recommended unless using PiStorm) then we recommend Kickstart 3.1 and a Compact Flash internal drive.
We will pre-configure the hard drive with Workbench AmigaOS 3.2 as standard. If you would like something else simply leave a note in the Notes box.
The PiStorm is the best upgrade to do to the Amiga if you want the fastest possible system for the cheapest price.
This replaces the BIOS (Kickstart) and Hard Drive options, so if you select PiStorm do not select BIOS or Hard Drive options.
The PiStorm will come with a 64GB SD card as standard (enough to store every game ever made which came to 4.4GB).
The output on the Amiga already supports composite and RGB. We only recommend RGB at a minimum meaning your monitor/receiver must support 15kHz RGB signals via SCART cable.
Alternatively select the HDMI output to have the RGB SCART cable provided along with an OSSC which converts that RGB to HDMI. The HDMI cable is also included so you have everything you need to connect it up to any HDMI monitor of your choice.
The old chips on the Amiga can run hot. To prolong the life of all crucial chips we can recommend installing heat sinks on them. This isn't needed but is beneficial to the longevity of the computer.
A common issue today on any computer with floppy drives is the quality of both the drive and the data on the ageing disks.
For that reason, we generally recommend replacing the floppy drive with a Gotek to allow you to load floppy drive files (.adf) from a USB stick.

Retro Enthusiast
RetroSix is a family run business led by Luke, who has been in the gaming industry and retail business since 2013, and sold consoles, controllers and even designed our own controllers and consoles.
We repair and upgrade consoles while showing them off on our social channels such as TikTok.
We sell products for restoring your own consoles should you wish to do it yourself, including many of our own hardware we design and manufacture in-house.
Finally, we print directly onto products to create unique one-off designs of things like Game Boys, Game Gears and anything that has a relatively flat surface we can print on. Checkout our Printed Products sections to buy some or design your very own.
We started RetroSix not as a mass market business, instead with the aim of perfection. Recreating moulds of original shells, casting them from quality ABS, redesigning hardware such as power supplies, USB-C, audio and more, to upgrade your consoles to the highest quality available. No cheap junk sold for profit.
Partners
We believe partnering with other likeminded companies is a great way to help each other out and ultimately make products that are better for the end consumer.
Of course, we sell and ship worldwide direct from source if you would like to purchase direct from anywhere in the world.
